Our Story
SC Limited was established in 2010: we were a Jam Company then, Scrumptious Preserves. Sarah formed the company on maternity leave and made chutney’s and Jams which quickly became a popular favourite of local shops and farmer’s markets. Scrumptious HQ (and production facility) was the Adamson kitchen in Woolston, Southampton.
When the facilities became too small for the demand and armed with the knowledge of a business start up and rapid growth, the attraction of narrating our own story was much more attractive than getting a proper job. Sarah drew on her corporate career in IT and Telecoms to explore a consultancy opportunity combining this big business background with her newly found small business passion.
Firstly in the form of Sarah working into Hampshire Fire and Rescue Authority’s fledgeling commercial company as interim Chief Exec. Here she helped the company to position itself in the market, develop products and start to expand. During this time, Sarah was heavily involved in the development for guidance for public sector trading bodies and the work at Government level to establish a Fire export offer, which saw the inaugural Fire mission to Brazil.
Similar roles to 3SFire followed including at the National Fire Chiefs Council (NFCC) and other organisations centred around local authorities.
With export experience and networking into Government prowess, Scrumptious Consultancy Limited evolved with the addition of Carmel to support Sarah.
Developing a carefully selected customer base, SC-Limited has delivered projects into a range of UK and International Government Departments directly and and behalf of their clients, and is a leading voice within the Fire Industry Association (FIA), having seats at the export council and the fire and rescue equipment suppliers council.
SC-Limited's key role leading on the fire industry’s support to the deployment of almost 100 donated fire engines to the Ukraine, has led to SC-Limited's expansion with Claire joining the team. Claire develops SC-Limiteds capability with her international expertise and relationships to further our work internationally particularly in developing counties and at home.
We have also added some fire and rescue expertise into the team with the addition of Stewart who joins after more than a quarter of a century in the fire service, to add some more technical content into our great team.
